Top Ten Most Expensive Northeast Homes For Sale

1. $75 million: Three Ponds, Bridgehampton. 60 acres, plus you can practice putting on your own golf course. I gave up golf. Too tough getting the ball past the windmill blades.

2. $70 million: The Pierre Penthouse, NYC, the top 3 floors overlooking Central Park with 360 degree views of the city. You can get room service. But the 23 foot high ceilings make it tough to change a light bulb.

3. $62.5 million, Southampton. 8,500 sq. ft. With 450 feet of oceanfront, you’ll need the 12 baths when everyone has to wash the sand out of their swimsuits at the same time.

4. $60 million. Lloyd Neck. A 22,000 sq. ft. housekeepers’ nightmare. 47 acres on Long Island is supposedly a big deal, but I had a 72 acre property in Southampton—-so there.

5. $59 million. Upper East Side, NYC. 22,000 sq. ft and 27 rooms makes hide-and-go-seek a full time job.

6. $50 million. NYC Overlooking Central Park. 16 rooms. In the same family since 1925, first time for public sale. I don’t think I’d advertise that fact—you know the prospective buyers are all thinking “they probably paid nothing for the place, let’s low ball.” (Same owners for all those years? —that’s gonna be some yard sale.)

7. $42.5 million. Park Avenue duplex overlooking that park again. You get valet parking. In NYC that’s worth a few mil.

8. $40 million. East Hampton. 220 feet of beachfront baby.

9. $38 million. Greenwich, CT. 22 acres. You can borrow a cup of sugar from Martha. Your 330 feet of water’s edge keeps other felons at a safe distance.

10. $37.9 million. Westport, CT. 10,500 sq. ft. Look honey, it’s under 38 million.

I’ve seen pictures of The Pierre Penthouse and it looks amazing. I think I would have to pay the extra $5mm for the golf though.
