OurFaves asks readers to share what they love about their city of Toronto. Instead of a city tourism agency, and its advertisers, telling you where to go in town—- the people who live there share what’s great. Places to eat, visit, shop. All their faves. You can search for people, places and things by neighborhood. Web 2.0 city guides.
Users are free to create there own faves of anything in town. If a person steers you right, you can track their other faves.
What’s neat about the site is the use of tag clouds to get an instant visual sense of what’s popular.
Next time I visit Toronto, I’m stopping at Burrito Boyz.
OurFaves is only available in Toronto, Canada, but will be expanding soon.
Other sites for city slickers:
Goings (events in New York, Boston, San Francisco)
Yelp (user reviews)
Feel free to add to the list.

I heart Miami for it’s over the top debauchery and keen vanity. Take that LA…..lol.
…Ohhhhhkay, so…the Word Cloud has no Silver Lining - I mean, where does Realtor fit in? Real Estate?…do these people just beam down into these fave places?…this is almost as confusing as having SexySEO stand me up for a guest blog…
I use the Goings site in New York and it’s pretty good but OurFaves seems more community driven. Bring it to NY soon!
