Zillow v. Trulia Polls: One for Pros, One for Home Buyers

There has been a lot of talk lately, good and bad, about these 2 high profile real estate websites, Zillow and Trulia. We all agree that talk is cheap. As a working real estate professional, you ought to know what works and what doesn’t, so if and when there comes a time someone asks for your money, you can look at your ROI/traffic/leads/deals and say “Here’s my check, I’m happy to pay for that featured listing”. So, here’s a poll.

I am curious to see how agents fall on this poll question. Vote and leave a comment explaining the reason for your vote or whatever else you have on your mind.

I wonder if home buyers have a preference?

Roost.com has a much cooler site and seems to cover many more homes in my area

    Jill,

I like Roost too. I think we will be hearing a lot more from them.
I think MLS data is the highest on the real estate food chain and that’s what they’re lining their nest with.

Roost is great as far as listings go. I wish that it covered my area. As a buyers agent, I use sites like cyberhomes to gather information for clients. It will be interesting to see how this poll works out.

I have really only used trulia, but browsing through zillow, they seem to work quite similarly.
