Property Shark is the undisputed king of the public data waters in New York City. The Shark is now cruising the left coast. It can now be found in San Francisco and Seattle, home of the Zillow. Property Shark does not profess to tell you the value of a home—even as a guess. It comes at you with cold data, letting you decide what to make of it. It is relentless in giving you as much information as is publicly available about a residential or commercial property. Property Shark is not playing around—-it bites deep into the data and it means business. It is widely popular in New York City for the serious investor. Talk about transparency—you can see clear to the bone.
Want to see a Certificate of Occupancy? The Shark will show you one. Want more? How about permits, violations, owners names and addresses (did you know that owner lives across the country?), foreclosures, phone numbers, comps—it’s like a title search. Data like this on 20 million properties.
Here is a sample report. Look at the meat on that.
So where can you find the Property Shark? Here are its current hunting grounds:

Is PropertyShark also covering the Los Angeles area, I hope so because that would be a phenonemal help to my brokerage.
I would be lost lost lost without Property Shark. But, I find that using acris suits me better for C of O’s or if I need to se if a property has any violations.
BTW - Congrats and ^5 on the actual launch!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Christine and thank you for the blog post announcement.
If the measure of a fish is data—zillow is a minnow compared to Property Shark.
I wonder if Property Shark has plans for San Diego. What a tool!
Sorry I missed last night’s celebration in Laguna Beach. Sounds like everyone had a lot of fun. Perhaps you can arrange something for San Diego area?
San Diego is not a far swim for the Shark.
Roberta, it was a great night—wonderful people, wonderful conversation and a gorgeous view of the ocean. In a word, “unzillowable”
Yes, we’d love to get down to San Diego.
