The International Astronomers Union has decided to change Pluto from a classic planet to a dwarf one, upsetting Clyde Tombaugh’s 93 year old widow, Patricia.
Clyde Tombaugh was only 24 in 1930 when he discovered Pluto from the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, AZ. Clyde died in 1997. While he was alive he had fought attempts to reclassify his pet planet. Hearing the news, Donald Duck went into hiding worried that he’d be required to put on some pants. Wicked.
