ZipSkinny: Get the Skinny on Your Zip Code

Simply type in a zip code and ZipSkinny displays the latest US Census data for the neighborhood. This includes:

  • Education levels
  • Marital status
  • Household income
  • Occupation
  • Unemployment
  • Stability/Newcomer Appeal (% of people living in the same home 5+ years)
  • Map
  • Comparison of data with neighboring zip codes

Compare up to 20 zip codes with ZipSkinny’s technology. Don’t trust the data, go directly to the US Census Bureau.

Next time a client calls and wants to know about a neighborhood, give them the skinny. Phat!

Alternative Shortcut tip: type www.yourzipcode.us and get a basic snapshot of the hood.

This is indeed very cool - nice presentation of the data. Keep in mind that ZCTAs from the Census Bureau are not really ZIP Codes (http://www.maponics.com/GIS_Map_Data/ZIP_Code_and_Carrier_Route_GIS/ZCTAs_vs_ZIP_Code_Data/zctas_vs_zip_code_data.html)

Also - be great to see actual neighborhoods being reflected (http://www.maponics.com/Neighborhood_Maps/Neighborhood_Boundaries/neighborhood_boundaries.html)
