RealEspace will be launching into the Real Estate web 2.0 universe soon. RealEspace is the brainchild of Jeff Corbett, aka XBroker, an entrepreneur and veteran of the real estate services business.
Jeff and his team promise to be BIG, transparent and global. According to Mary from RSS Pieces, it will be The Transparent Real Estate Search Engine.
What is RealEspace? Not certain but here are the Clues—-it will have a listings Map Mash-Up, video marketing tools, access to wholesale mortgage professionals (watch out Lending Tree), best-of-breed user interface for search, and local content.
But here’s what we’ve been waiting for: A Free Search Engine to find mortgages. I had always used HSH Associates to get mortgage information in a certain area. For $10 (plus $1 shipping), they’d email you mortgage rates in you’re locale. I used them when I moved out of state and didn’t have a clue what the local rates were.
Jeff’s been a bit of a maverick, as any reader of his blog can attest. We can’t wait to see how he shakes up the mortgage business.

We feel that this/our technology will penetrate the ambiguous and harmful channels that legislative body’s and watch-dog’s have been trying to crack for years.
Consumers need someplace they can get straight answers regarding what programs and rates they qualify for without having to give up a DNA sample, go through a ‘bad and expensive’ experience, or have their info shopped out to 10 different broker/bankers.
What appears to be a good deal may actually be quite costly under a transparent lens…and were going to give out one potent scope…Hubble-like

I really think you could have something here. To get a rate out of some of these mortgage companies you have to be completely in bed with them first. By that point most buyers already made their offer and are literally stuck with the mortgage company.
I will definitely recommend that my buyers use this and I will as well!

great idea, surprised its not been done before as its a relatively common tool in the UK - however with all the different states and legislation etc in the USA I would think it is a mammoth task to set up indeed!

I just checked the link to RealEspace and no site. Any idea when this might happen? Would be great to have something similar for the UK market too as it’s a much easier market to access in my opinion…ie not state by state legislation, etc.

How is this any different than other engines? FreeRateSearch.com does this.
Anyway, the more the merrier and anything that competes with Lending tree and the rest of those nads is great.

Freeratesearch appears to be another lead aggregation site, akin to a portal that sells personal info to mortgage professionals, who then contact the consumer hoping to close a loan…
