2 Bloggers Set Single Day Blogging Record: 102 Posts

Source: YouTube by djfontv

The First Sellsius° 101 Blog Post Challenge was accomplished by both Greg Swann of Bloodhound Blog and Ardell DellaLoggia of Seattle Area Real Estate Blog. Greg was first to set a single day blogging record by writing 100 blog posts today. He performed the remarkable feat in less than the 24 hours alotted. He sat on the 100th post for many hours and as a true gentleman, allowed Ardell to catch up to 100 so they could make history together and post 101 almost simultaneously. Both took the time to post quality work. Greg posted 101 at 11:32pm PST and Ardell posted 101 at 11:42pm PST. The final count = 102 blog posts each. They are both champions!

Having attempted this challenge with my partner Rudy, I know Ardell and Greg faced a daunting task. We salute their effort and thank them for making this day a memorable one in blogging history. We will duly mark their achievement.

I wanted to show my support by reading and commenting on each & every post. I read and commented on all of Ardell’s and Greg’s posts as a tribute to their hard work and dedication to the challenge.

And we cannot forget the fantastic post by post linkage and commentary by Jon Ernest at Property Monger. Great work documenting the event, Jon. A big round of applause to you.

On behalf of all the readers, Ardell and Greg, THANK YOU for providing everyone with a months worth of fine posts to read.

Finally, we’d like to welcome Greg, Ardell and Jon to the official Sellsius° Blogoholics annonymous club.

Blog On!

Who will accept the next Blog Marathon challenge? Here’s what’s needed for next marathon, 2 people with huevos to endure it, 1 person with the time to the commentary.

Like I said in my earlier posts, I love this idea! I’ll volunteer to do the commentary. Any takers? Mike Price

The Hound may one day kick himself when some other lunatic comes along and posts 103. He had the chance to post maybe 150, 200 & really set the bar so few would attempt it. I doubt he’d ever try it again to regain the record.

I think you should keep it as an annual thing. And Greg won’t kick himself, because he’ll probably be IN every one…me too. So don’t go having them every week!

The problem is that there is no way to vet for quality. A team of judges like a swimming competition? I could build a PHP bot that could produce thousands of one-liner link-posts a day.

Ardell, that’s a great suggestion. Consider it done. The Sellsius Blog Post Challenge will be an annual event. Maybe we can get a nice silver cup and engrave the names every year. We’re working on something to memorialize the event and your accomplishments.

We have also been approached by another blogger to possibly expand the idea. We have some other ideas floating in our heads to help increase traffic to multiple blogs. I’ve discussed one with Greg already.

    Greg-
Yes some parameters could be established. We were not concerned about the one liners because it would have brought on some heavy duty blog wrath.
    Judging is tough—maybe a poll ;)
Some brainstorming seems to be in order.

Count me in for the blog off.

Hope you don’t mind, but I spent HOURS looking for that Cingular cell phone commercial and I couldn’t find it anywhere! I’m gonna post it on my Blog about Cheesy Realtors. Hope you don’t mind!
