Hurray for Mary Kay. We bought our house from her, and she became almost our kids' other Granma. When Prospect Park South was in mortal danger from greedy boarding house wannabes, and other threats in the 1970s and 1980s, Mary Kay almost single-handedly kept it together. She was the force in the neighborhood associations, an indefatigable advocate before zoning, arts, and other commissions -- and always made sure that I didn't leave our empty trashcans out!

MK has always been much, much, more than a plain real estate broker. She's been the heart and soul of Prospect Park South, and may she continue to be so for many more years to come.

Mary Kay,

Kudos to you! You have helped to keep Flatbush alive! Not only do you sell someone a house to live in the community, you also introduce them to a total network of potentially new friends!

Thanks for your valuable contribution to Brooklyn!

Fondly,

Rudy great article but we hope the problem was solved that it was one person doing the nasty stuff..........I am sure you read brownstoner's reply
anyway you made a good story out of it and I hope that I won't suffer too much

after all I have been at this business for over 40 years and I can safely say that 99% are happy buyers.
I am anxious to see the comments on your story
