Techcrunch brings us a weird Craigslist story about a guy who used Craigslist to

“lure potential buyers and sellers of electronic equipment to places where he could stun them with a taser and rob them.”

Anyone who uses any type of classified advertising, whether it’s in print or online, should take the necessary precautions before agreeing to meet strangers.

  1. Never meet a stranger alone.
  2. Always bring a friend or two for safety.
  3. Always let someone know where your going and who your going to meet and leave them as much of the persons info as possible such as their name, email, phone number, address, meeting location and date & time of the meeting.
  4. Make sure you agree to meet in a very public and busy place at a decent time and not at their address or some dark alley at 3 am.
  5. Just use common sense.

P.S. No, that is not Craig in the picture.
