Peekaboo Advertising


Seek and ye shall find. This post was inspired by Kathy Sierra’s post Cognitive Seduction and the “peekaboo law”.

The brain needs to hunt and finds pleasure in the chase. That which is partially hidden, attracts our interest. Advertisers use the “peekaboo law” to excite the consumer brain to find the message. Try it in the image below.
