Richard Nacht & Paul Chaney have written Realty Blogging to help real estate professionals use blogging to increase their “Google Juice” and attract new clients. Location, location, location applies to your ranking in the popular search engines, Google & Yahoo. Effective blogging can get you a location your website would envy.
This book will show you how to maximize your internet presence with your blog. If it is regularly updated and rich in keywords, especially your local search terms, you will climb the Google rankings, even to the prized first page. With 77% of home buyers using the internet, you must be online. And seen there.

We just launched a Real Estate blog called Living in Victorian Flatbush (http://livinginvictorianflatbush.blogspot.com/), which focuses on the neighborhood where we sell Victorian Homes in Brooklyn, NY.
We got linked at Brownstoner.com yesterday with over 300 visitors on the first day (http://brownstoner.com/brownstoner/archives/2006/09/blog_links_new.html#comments)
I wonder if you guys talk about quieting your competition who make false claims in your book?
Let us know what you think.
Thanks
Chris,
Don’t quite know what you mean by quieting our competition who make false claims in our book. We took no part in writing the book. We don’t know of any false claims in it. We know one of the authors who we believe to be an honest man. Can you be more specific?
Good luck with your blog. We will check it out.
I didn’t mean false claims made in the book. I am a big fan of what the book discusses.
I meant dealing with false claims on local real estate blogs about the Broker I work for, who happens to be my 80 year old grandmother.
Check it out at, I think you can figure out who the other brokers are:

Thanks
I checked out the comments and don’t agree with anyone attacking any broker, including your grandmother, just by the fact of linking to their website. Whoever made the rules about what to blog about and who to link to, we were never asked. Everyone is entitled to an opinion but verbal attacks and lies are not necessary to debate a topic. I regret your grandmother was attacked. I can understand your hurt.
Hey it’s not the first time it has happened and not the last, where are in Brooklyn remeber.
Just wondering if they talk about this in the book. It is clearly the most controverisal part of Real Estate blogs, thankfully we can control what goes onto our blog.
I don’t think so but you can write about it on your blog.
The blogosphere is a free for all. Unless they’re saying something libelous, everyone has a right to express their opinion. You can use your blog to stand your ground and present your case. In the case of brownstoner, he should be able to link to whomever he wishes. If someone doesn’t like, phooey on em.
In the book we do address the issue of using a linking strategy as a means to gain a greater presence on search engines. We don’t really address the issue of what can and can’t be said in comments, or on blogs, etc. Again, it’s a free for all.
