ResidenSea lets you travel the world without leaving home. There are 110 owner-occupied residences and 88 guest suites aboard the aptly named The World (pictured above). Can’t afford to own, take a vacation cruise instead. Headquartered in Miami, FL, residenSea is currently the only private community at sea.
Prices range from $825K for a 328 sq.ft. studio (yearly maintenance of $88,000) to over $7 million for a 4BR 3.5Bath 3200 sq.ft. apartment on the rear upper deck. The yearly maintenance on that beauty is $550,000. At least you avoid property taxes. Wonder what other perks you get in international waters.

The price is making me seasick.
Are they multi listed? If I were a Miami Realtor, I would be there for a broker open.
The joke in our family was my husband was going to retire to his farm in northern Minnesota (80 acres of subsistence land) and I was going to cruise the world on my own yacht! Maybe this will be my answer as I had no captain to command the ship!
Good question Maureen. I’m sure there would be no shortage of brokers attending. It would make for a unique presentation to a client looking for a retirement or second home.
Bonnie,
Cruising the world would be a great adventure. I guess you really have to love being on the ocean to buy a place on the ship(for me it’s the lure of the midnight buffets :).
