Famed Glass House Open to the Public

Glass House is one of the world’s most famous works of Modernism. Built in 1949 by controversial architect Philip Johnson, it opened to the public June 21, 2007, according to the last wishes of Mr. Johnson, who died in the house at age 98.

Located in New Caanan, CT, the small glass and steel wonder (1728 sq. ft) sat on 47 acres of property (hey, a man in glass house needs his privacy).
