When the Houston area sales executives from First American Title meet with their REALTOR® clients, they arrive with a powerful new marketing tool…web broadcasting.
Through a partnership with MLBroadcast.Com entitled FASTBroadcasting, First American is empowering real estate professionals with the ability to convert MLS photos and listing data into syndicated web video broadcasts. Ron Ledbetter, First American’s Houston Sales Manager stated “We’re constantly on the lookout for new tools that can empower our clients in a meaningful, results driven fashion. The exposure that this technology provides to our clients, their communities and listings is nothing short of amazing. By educating our clients on bleeding edge marketing technologies and following up with service and support, we are able to share in their success.”
With a one time $49 broadcast channel set up fee and $29 per “listing episode”, REALTOR® listings or neighborhood profile photos are converted to video format with professional background music scores and professionally recorded narration. The broadcast channel and videos are distributed through MLBroadcast’s network of directories and search engines. Consumers can view and subscribe to free syndications of the content on the web, through destinations such as Apple’s iTunes and more. Most viewers will consume the content via the web. There is an added benefit of mobility as the videos can be viewed on a multitude of portable devices via podcasting technologies including video enabled cell phones, the entire line up of iPods and the iPhone.
MLBroadcast’s president Michael Price stated: “We see resale relationships becoming a cornerstone of our business model. It’s a perfect symbiosis. Resellers have access to something we do not, face time. Effectively demonstrating all of the moving parts and different ways in which our product generates results can be a challenge. Service providers have a desire to provide the kind of training and support in which REALTORS® can garner tangible results. Everyone wins, the service provider, MLBroadcast and most importantly, sellers faced with challenging market conditions”
First American sales executives are using the technology to create their own broadcast channels that will include biographical profiles on themselves and their branch offices as well as plans to add neighborhood profiles where the branches are located. Ron Ledbetter stated: “We’ve done three branch profiles for Houston thus far. Within days of being distributed the Google search results for those markets are completely dominated by the broadcasts. We even received an inquiry from Oregon where a search for title turned up our Woodland Office. It provides us with a compelling, real-time demonstration of FASTBroadcasting”.

Sounds interesting. I wonder when it will be available in other markets. With P53 in place for a while, I wonder what the cost to agents will be.
Well good for Mikey! Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
