The White African. Eric…awesome job! We hung out at SHVO’ Armani Casa down at Inman NYC in January. Everyone cool was there but Sellsius! Keep it up Eric. TL

I did one of these last year with another Realtor. By most accounts and the feedback, it was a success. However, I haven’t heard from any of the attendees whether they have started to blog yet.

Either way, it was great fun.

Nice work Erik. Gotta say, ORRA never looked so nice. It’s funny, after meeting with you and hearing about this discussion, I got a huge laugh out of watching the hands go up, and then almost all of them go down in the intro. Good stuff.

http://vidlisting.com will host a series of real estate video seminars that will run in August 2007 in Miami, Tampa, Fairfax, Charlottesville, Raleigh, Houston, and Orlando. More information is available at http://activerain.com/blogsview/94198/Learn-More-About-Real

There will be a seminar focused on the business case around real estate video as well as hands-on video training for anyone interested. We’ll also be filming properties within 25 miles of each city for a flat rate that is all inclusive from filming to posting (including professional narration in English/Spanish/Portuguese).

Thanks for the info. Real estate videos will now be indexed by Google.

Real estate videos have been indexed by Google for some time now. Isn’t the difference just that YouTube videos will be presented and viewable in line with search results? If so, this change wasn’t too hard to see coming after the purchase of YouTube.

I think that the biggest issue around this change though will be the impact on business models for real estate video companies (and any online video companies for that matter) that are focused primarily in the presentation mechanism rather than content generation.

    Love your blog!

Hey, what am I doing up on Sellsius!? :)

The event was a big success. One of the things I’ve done, beyond just the education of attendees, has been to meet with and email with people afterwards. So, agents who really want to get into blogging, I don’t mind spending an hour helping them get up and going.

So far 4 new real estate blogs are up in Orlando (that I know of) from this event. Whether or not the new authors keep up with it and create a successful blog, that’s still to be seen.

Obviously, the idea of doing a blogging workshop wasn’t mine. I noticed others like Dustin Luther, Pat Kitano and others doing it in their areas. I wanted to make sure Orlando wasn’t left behind. You’ve got to watch out for your own neighborhood! :)

We loved it Erik. You’re a natural.

Thanks FSBL. Google’s new Universal Search will increase the importance of video.

I know that Teresa Boardman of St Paul Real Estate Blog, Linda Davis of Eastern CT Real Estate and Kristal Kraft of The Denver Blogs (Denver Real Estate & Relocations) have all done RE blogging seminars on more than one occasion. They would be great additions to your list.

Thanks Maureen for adding to the list.

We’ve been doing a series of free workshops for clients and prospects on web 2.0 and because blogging is such a hot topic we are breaking it out into it’s own session. Right now we’re serving the Houston, Austin and Dallas markets with it.

If there are any brokers in those areas interested please let me know mprice at mlpodcast.com.

I’d love to hear any advice and suggestions from other blogging workshop presenters.

    cheers,

    MP
