Inviting Other Professionals to the Real Estate Party

real-estate-party.gif

The only people allowed to party on the typical real estate listing site are real estate agents and brokers. The reason is simple—-they come with hot dates, the LISTINGS. But there are other professionals, who also provide valuable services to buyers and sellers (as well as agents), who can’t get past the velvet rope.

These professionals include home stagers, inspectors, engineers, appraisers, mortgage brokers, lawyers, home improvement contractors, landscapers, travel agents, web design companies, website developers, graphic designers, and all the tradespeople. Because they don’t have the sexy listings, they are excluded from the listing sites. (The Exclusive Buyers Agents or others who don’t have listings (yet) are also left out in the cold). Buyers and sellers have to go to their separate neighborhoods to find them. We don’t think this segregation is fair. So we decided to do something about it and create a real estate website “democracy”.

Sellsius’ Classified Community opens its doors to these long denied professionals. Welcome to the party! Come and show that you can hang with the rest of us. Strut your expertise on our community website.

EVERY PROFESSIONAL HAS VALUE: LIST YOURSELF

Any professional can join our community. When you join, your detailed profile, complete with photo, logo, contact information and website link, are AUTOMATICALLY cataloged in our Other Professionals Directory.

GET SOME GOOGLE JUICE TOO: CONTRIBUTE A TIP OR ARTICLE

Not only do other professionals get listed in our directory, they get the opportunity to contribute content to the site. Many professionals do not blog. But we wanted to give them the opportunity to get the advantages of blogging. So, we allow them to contribute content in the Tips and Articles section (or in the forum). Either way, Google will index their content and bring visitors to them. Each article they write will contain a link to their profile, website and email.

One of our first members was, in fact, such a professional. His name is Phillip Fry. Phillip has contributed two articles, both on his area of expertise, Mold. If someone googles mold and his article is clicked, readers will be able to click to his profile to see Phillips’ qualifications as a mold inspector and consultant or link to his website. The hope is that they will hire him.

Another early adopter is Mario Costanz, President of SmartServ, an independent consumer financial services firm. Mario also contributed a post on Sellsius. The same advantages that can accrue to Phillip can come Mario’s way.

Of course, by virtue of their membership, they have all the benefits of any other member. They can place classified ads for products or services—even a job ad. Heck, if they have office space to rent, they can do it.

Thank you Phillip and Mario, both Founding Members*.

* Founding Members are our early adopters. We consider them much more than that. Their membership is a vote for our concept, a pat on the back, a voice in support, an act of faith. We are honored to have them as our first members and hope to reward them in the future. For now, we guarantee that as long as they remain members, their annual membership fee will NEVER increase. Unlike the cable company.

Phenomenal! What a hole filled! How many houses are really sold without the tremendous help of these folks? They are on my speed dial, my Christmas list, and I am glad to see them able to be on yours.

It would be great if each real estate agent member got their referral list of professionals to join. In this way, we could build a trusted and dependable community for everyone.
