Frankly, where one draws the line on linkbaiting does not concern us a whit. Your blog&#8217;s personality will out in the end and 2000 Bloggers won&#8217;t change that. Even Greg has pointed out the advantages of self promotion &#38; the importance of outbound links. We have no problem with any of that. There&#8217;s even an Ultimate Guide to getting traffic &#38; attracting links. Why then the problem with Tino? If you really want to get philosophical about it, there is a question whether a raw count of inbound links is any measure of blog quality to begin with. It&#8217;s often just a link (not a vote), and often a knee-jerk one at that&#8212;follow the crowd and link to the blog everyone else is linking to.
