Install browser button or
drag & drop Bookmarklet
There are a lot of reasons to like love Firefox. The VodPod video posting extension is another. Use the “Post to Wordpress” button to send video directly to your blog.
Here’s how:
Either install the VodPod Firefox extension or drag the bookmarklet to your toolbar and the next time you come across a video you want to post to your Wordpress blog, just click the icon. A pop-up screen appears (see below)— fill in your blog URL, your name and password– then click “Publish” and BAM! the video is posted to your blog. (if you have a problem, you can copy and paste the video embed code in the pop-up screen) Nice. I tried it on a free hosted Worpress.com blog and it worked fine.
VodPod claims the tool works for most video sites.
Give the VodPod extension a try and let me know what you think.

I use this all the time on my blogs. It’s pretty useful, although I find that the firefox extension seems to mess with my browser and give it errors any time a new window is opened, so I keep it disabled.
Also of note, especially for WordPress.com users - who can’t use any embed codes/javascript directly because of code-stripping by the blogging software - is that VodPod can, theoretically, be used to post any flash application too. I recently posted a poll from SodaHead on my blog using VodPod. It worked flawlessly.
VodPod helps balance out the ease-of-use/cheapness vs the limitations of using the WordPress.com platform instead of your own hosting of WordPress.
