Has real estate blogging reached a plateau? If I had to guess, I’d say maybe. Since last years Top 10 Women Real Estate Blogger award, there has been a tremendous surge in real estate bloggers - both male and female. The ladies have really stepped up to the plate and have been producing outstanding content. Ok, to be fair, the guys have done OK too
So why the surge in real estate bloggers?
Real Estate professionals have realized that we have a voice. We have the local knowledge and experience that consumers crave. Blogging has given us a cost effective avenue to relay that information directly to buyers and sellers in a non- salesy way. This two way conversation sure beats postcards doesn’t it?
One year later, we’re proud to see that last year’s group of women has continued to flourish. Some beyond everyone’s imagination. The power of the written word in a virtual world has the potential to reach millions of people. Priceless.
As we made our travels across the nation this summer on Blog Tour USA, we met with hundreds of real estate bloggers. The majority happened to be women. This is no surprise. Some of our industry’s greatest leaders are women. We just need to get some of them into NAR to shake things up a bit, if you know what I mean. Many of this year’s favorites met up with us on our blog tour. One day, we hope to share their wisdom with you, which we captured on video. It’s timeless.
Finding this year’s top female real estate bloggers was not difficult. Narrowing the list down to 10 was. So, we decided to make this year’s group a little bigger - and then there were 12. With 12 months in the year, we wanted one top lady blogger for each month. Why? We’re going to put together a calender to promote each one of you. Now all you have to do is decide who gets which month. The choice is yours. Play nice ladies
Having personally met each of the women within this elite group, we can honestly say that they all possess the very best qualities that we’d expect in a real estate professional. More importantly, they are fantastic human beings. Ones we’re proud to call our friends.
Without further adieu, please welcome our Top 12 Women Real Estate Bloggers of 2007:

I know several of those on the list and say a big congrats to each and everyone. However, there is one person who made the list that is very special, Ines. She was my apprentice during the Project Blogger contest at Active Rain and what an apprentice she was! We enjoyed our partnership in that contest immensely and grew to be friends as a result. Way to go, Ines! You (and all the others on the list) certainly deserve it.
I should know better than to comment on anything at 3 am. What was funny to me then, well, isn’t now. I know both Missy and I were glad you made it up here this summer.
I really do appreciate being included on this great list. It is an honor to be mentioned alongside women I consider friends and mentors.
kristal - you’re very very welcome. highlight of your summer? i’m blushing. you know, i went through all my photos and did not have any close ups with you - sad

I’m ok with the calendar thingee, but I reserve the right to use a body double. The movie stars do it so I’m entitled to a break too!

Wow! What an honor to be among such great people!
Thank you, Sellsius, and Thank you, all you commenters.
Thank you too to the Other Eleven - may we all keep up the blogging!
Rudy - can I have November on the calendar??
Have already had a couple of e-mails congratulating me on the honor - that’s how come I stopped work mid-day and came to read it.
L’chaim!
Thank you Rudy and Joe! What a magnificent surprise and honor to be included in such a terrific group of bloggers.
Guess I was the last to know. That’s what I get for working instead of blogging.
Choose a month? I’ve always wanted to be a calendar girl. March?
Thanks again!
Congraulations Sharon [Simms], top women Real Estate bloggers …and Selsius for great coverage
Great list of ladies! I’ve read most of them and partied with a few too! Congratulations everyone!
Awwww, shucks. Thanks guys. But come on, a calendar? That’s so old-school. I like Ardell’s dancing to Tom Jones idea, only you put it on a widget that gets distributed throughout the blogosphere and of course you serve ads around it at the point of distribution and hey, btw, I want my 1/12th share…
Great list- #13 should be April Groves
HIP HIP HOORAY FOR KRIS!!! Finally- the fact that she knows people has paid off!!!
Not only does that list keep growing, it keeps getting better!!
Congratulations to all the women out there - I read each and everyone of you!
Where have I been all day? Thanks, Joe and Rudy!!!
Now, either replace that hideous photo IMMEDIATELY (my guess, from the “Too Many Beers With Bloggers” event at Inman), or there will be hell to pay.
Great list, and I am HONORED to be included. I’ll take the left-over month. Glamour-shot jpeg is in the mail.
Congratulations to all these great women. They each operate very successful blogs in their own right, but I’d have to say Diane Cohn’s renorealtyblog.com is hands down the best. Diane (and her co-author) really take things to the next level with their views on the Reno RE market. Diane and her co-author’s timely and spirited discussions of the Reno RE Market are sometimes controversial, sometimes provocative, but always informative. Congratulations, Diane! Keep up the good work.
p.s. Rudy, I loved the video and especially the Tom Jones clip.
Rudy and Joe - It was great meeting you all on the BlogTour this summer and what a great group of women you selected - I know it wasn’t easy - many of these women have inspired and mentored newer bloggers along. - Cyndee Haydon
Congratulations to the Top 12 Ladies. I’ve read most of their blogs and also think they’re great. I followed many of them through the Project Blogger contest and am constantly trying to improve my own blog and website.
Congratulations Sharron,
You are great and I’m continually amazed at how much I learn from you. You are not only a wonderful person, an excellent Realtor, but a good friend. Keep up the good work.
Congratulations ladies…Looks like I have some catching up to do and learn from the best!! Congrats Missy Caulk…I have read your blog in the past. Yeahhhhhoooo!!
Congratulations to Diane and the other great bloggers! You are a great inspiration and a wealth of knowledge. Rudy and Joe- it was great to meet you this summer in Tahoe, and hope to see you at the next inman conference!
Diane Cohn is not a geek realtor. She’s a really smart and inspirational real estate blogger babe and a heck of a giving sharing professional. I like the idea of a calendar. I’d vote for Diane as Miss January.
WOO-HOO to all of these ladies!! I know a number of them and they are great bloggers. Several are particularly good friends and I’m so thrilled for them!
Congrats Ladies!!
Congratulations to these amazing women! I have been a follower and friend of many of these rmarkable ladies on Active Rain. They set the bar high for all of us!
Congrats to the “Sellsius 12″. Found a few blogs to look at that (surprised I missed them). Nice to see some familiar faces getting recognition too.
Absolutely Fabulous Bloggers~
I love the “Sellsius Awards” for the best blogging in America and the choices this year are outstanding.
I am especially thrilled that Diane Cohn was awarded because she is truly an inspiration for us at Chase International and my personal blog mentor. She was the catalyst for my joinging this community and wow what a great ride it’s been. When you drop in to see Diane, do visit me at www.RenoRealEstateLogic.com for some lively thoughts.
And I am looking forward to meeting you all in person this year at the NAR Convention in Vegas. Go bloggers!
Michelle D. Plevel
You guys did good.. Every one of these women are outstanding and deserve to be recognized as The best!
Simply great choices…all are well deserved and serve as mentors and role models for so many!
Mhy goodness, thanks!!!
I think the calendar is a GREAT idea … Rudy and Joe rock!!! … and so do the rest of the ladies here … and the surrounding community!!! What on earth did we do before blogging?

Excellent Choices, congrats Ladies
hey, i want to be a part of this…..i don’t even have a website of my own, help please!!
I know personally Kris Berg and she is very nice woman, thanks for mentioning her! And here are some quotes from me:
Life is like an onion: You peel it off one layer at a time, and sometimes you weep.
Life without love is like a tree without blossom and fruit.
Life is what happens to you while you’re working for your future.
Echoing what Sundream said, it’s almost shocking to see how successful many women have found themselves in real estate. Amicable personalities, extensive neighborhood knowledge, and great networking and customer service skills are the key. Couple those with the pretty faces on this page and they’ve got the whole package
