I redesigned my Twitter background (see below).
The fractal image is from the Fractal Bargain Bin (thanks to Librarian in Black). It was designed by the talented Sven Geier at CalTech. The design is called Sheets.

Here’s how:
I created the left sidebar using FastStoneCapture. I then pasted it over the overall image in Paint.net, resized it to 1087 x 574* (or close to that) and saved it on my computer. Then I went to Twitter Settings > Design> Chose Background image and uploaded the image. Then crossed my fingers. Done.

Yes, I tried Twitbacks.com but the text in the left sidebar always got cut off. (That was some time ago, so maybe they fixed that glitch.)
If you’re curious about another person’s Twitter background, you can see it by right clicking on their twitter page and then clicking “View Background Image”
