Use Summize to set up Twitter Alert RSS Feeds.
Do a search on Summize and get the RSS feed. Set one up as you would a Google Alert (by keywords) or for yourself (or anyone else) so you know when folks are twittering your name.
Since I am not usually on Twitter (too addictive), this serves me well.
