Not enough people willing to use the twitter. Myself I love it, lots of applications have been built and improvements made. Like anything else, it just takes a while for everyone to become use to it. Once they do it will be all the rage . http://www.goodtherapy.org/New-York-Therapy.htm
  • Another way to get lost in the magic of Twitterland!
  • I have a love-hate relationship w/Twitter. I love the potential but hate the chat line noise and UI-- probably why so many apps have been built to improve the twitter experience. I love http://tweetbeep.com/ (like google alerts for twitter)
  • Thank you for this. I had been using Tweetdeck, but even that is hard to read and keep up with. This sounds like a much better idea. It's still really hard to get people to "converse" on Twitter - the medium still tends to be a one-way announcement system. Everyone following everyone else and their links, to make sure they haven't missed anything.
  • Yes, it's more visually appealing IMO.

You might have better luck igniting a conversation if you reply to a tweet in your local area (see http://www.twitterlocal.net/
