Simple. Remove the ad from the video and put it on the video PLAYER. The effect is a non-intrusive ad the consumer can choose to engage (or not) at any time during the playing of the video. If they click the ad, the video is PAUSED and the ad appears in the player. Close the ad and return to the video without missing a beat. Cool.
InSkin Media’s patent-pending dynamic ad frame wraps around any video player or widget.
The InSkin ad frame advantage over pre-roll advertising is obvious. A pre-roll forces the consumer to watch the ad and gives the annoyed viewer only a short window to click the ad– about 12 seconds. After the pre-roll ends, the advertiser’s chance to capture the consumer is lost. Not so with the InSkin ad. It remains available to the consumer at any time. And a consumer is more likely NOT to click the pre-roll because they are chomping at the bit to see the video. InSkin is consumer friendly advertising.
The InSkin ad solution also lets you:
- Program several ads in the frame at various intervals
- Incorporate a pre-roll in conjunction with the frame ad
- Change to a full screen view (regular banner ads are lost– not the InSkin)
- Use InSkin with any video player or widget
- Choose your own ads or let InSkin deliver them to you (& pay you)
- Experiment with ad skins (we saw some really cool ones)
- Track results
InSkin uses a revenue sharing model.
InSkin in the brainchild of British serial entrepreneur Patrick Knight. We snared the first US video interview with Patrick at a demo invite (we’ll put it up soon). A bright bloke, that Patrick.
InSkin has contracted with Dennis Publishing and Telescope Inc. A big US deal will be announced mid month. We tried to get someone at the company to spill the beans but they were all tight-lipped. We’ll have to try to pry it out of them with a few drinks.
InSkin is one of the stars of ad:tech.
