How Realtor Uses Video to Market and Sell Homes

Mike Beernink is a Century21 real estate agent in Duluth, Georgia. He has an Agent blog on HomeGain. Mike recently posted how he used video to sell a home in Alpharetta, GA. Just 10 days after listing the home, he was able to sell it for the highest price EVER in the subdivision. How did he do it?

Simple. He put the home video/slideshow on a DVD and slipped it into the flyer box. The buyer took the DVD, played it and called Mike to see the home. Sold!

If you think a well produced video will not help your client’s home stand out from the crowd, give Mike a call.

House DVD Marketing?

Hmm… I wonder if, instead of a postcard mailing, an agent sent a DVD (containing video or photos) of the new homes for sale. Or maybe a brokerage office could offer free DVDs of homes for sale to prospective buyers.  Might be better than those house flyers stuck on the window.

  • I hate being a poop, but social-ecological mandates prevail.

Nice marketing idea except that it is very "un-green." Unless of course, you can confirm that CD/DVD's can be recycled.
  • "I hate being a poop, but social-ecological mandates prevail."

Tell that to the seller as his house sits on the market! I think this is a great idea and will probably try this for a listing I have in Alpharetta...
  • It is a nice marketing ides, until the slide show or the video fits in properly. Moreover, it has to be pitched to a level where buyers could be attracted.
  • True. Yes, it is only technology. Folks still need to execute and sell the
    home.
  • Obviously, If there is no proper execution by the Folk, then everything goes of waste.
  • Except the experience and any lessons learned.
  • True, Experience matters a lot. When one gets an experience then sure he can do it to the mark :)
