Black Sabbath (1970)
This is not about Ozzie Osbourne, Black Sabbath or the tale of the mud shark at the Edgewater Inn in Seattle. It’s about a motel near Monterry, Mexico that along with its enticing amenities of hot tubs, imitation red leather sofas, mirrored walls and striptease polls, has added a new privacy feature for trysters—steel-plated rooms. That’s right—rooms with walls to stop a speeding bullet from ruining the moment.
Rancho El Trueno (Thunder Ranch) decided for the heavy metal security after guests in nearby motels were kidnapped and killed. Seems the drug wars have gotten so nasty gangs are catching each other with their pants down. Seventy deaths have been reported so far this year in the area.
No word on how guests will be able to dodge bullets when they go out for some ice.
Further East, the love hotels are a bit safer.
