SchooGo says the school information is accurate and regularly updated.
We cover almost all public, private, charter and preschools in New York and in US.
The website currently features more than 125,000 public, private and charter k-12 schools and 100,000 preschools. On the site, parents can search for schools in a number of different ways including: search by city, state, zip code; search by school name or school district; or search by proximity to an address. Parents can also compare public schools side by side on academic scores, student and teacher statistics and student demographics.
We get our data from variety of sources including department of education of the respective states, NCES (National Center for Educational Statistics) and various preschool accreditation agencies.

Update:
- Support for more than one city/zip code: If you want to show schools from more than one city or zip code, you can do that now. Just click on “Add another location” during the widget configuration.
- Now there is a separate widget for private schools in case you only want to show private schools on your blog/website.
- We have also created a separate Wordpress plug-in to make it easier for you to add the widget to your Wordpress based blog/website.
