Agreed. Slideshows are not videos. But some videos use fast cuts (is that the right term?) to a point that they appear similar to a slideshow on speed--- so the label can get fuzzy at times. I think the Animoto "thingee" is somewhere in between a slideshow and a video-- so I stand corrected using the term video to describe their product.

Admittedly, video is a much more versatile tool for homes and other applications (like testimonials), but as a Ken Burns fan I have to say that an effective (even emotional) message can be conveyed with still photographs, good copy and good music.

Very cool feature (love what Animoto is doing) however, can we put to rest one major issue here... SLIDESHOWS ARE NOT VIDEOS. Just because you can push play does not make this or any other slide show a video. JF, we know you know this BUT there more generally seems to be some confusion out there as to what constitutes a video. I only bring this up because anyone who does video knows that it takes a bit more effort than simply throwing a couple photos together. Those of us online who spend time and exhaustive creative energy to present quality video ought not have their efforts (for some their profession) bastardized by ze sideshow. No matter how spectacular. Moral of the story, “Export Your Animoto 'Slideshow' to YouTube”.
